Environmentally friendly LP® SmartSide® Trim & Siding products reduce waste on the job site. The absence of knots and voids helps reduce scrap woodpiles. Longer product lengths reduce the total number of pieces needed to complete a home. And superior durability means less material lost to breakage. All of which is good for builders, homeowners and the planet!
The entire LP SmartSide Trim & Siding manufacturing process is earth-friendly as well. In accordance with Sustainable Forestry Initiative® standards, we use wood from small, fast-growing trees for less waste and better resource usage. Our process uses the entire log, with no urea-formaldehyde and low-emitting safe resins as a binder. Finally, the zinc-borate in our SmartGuard® manufacturing process is a naturally-occurring material.
