Product Applications

One structural product, suitable for a variety of applications:
Roof & Floor Beams
- One piece application makes it an ideal solution for complex and contemporary roof ridges and valleys
- Available in up to 3.5˝ thickness, so there’s no need to spend time building up beams and headers
- More consistent than lumber; this makes LSL ideal for garage door headers
- Eliminates need for splicing in most applications
Door & Window Headers
- Stays straight, reducing likelihood of drywall fracturing around window and door framing
- Because LP SolidStart LSL resists twisting and shrinking, it’s ideal for use on sliding glass doors and specialty windows
- Available in up to 3.5˝ thickness, so there’s no need to spend time building up beams and headers
Wall Framing
- Straight and flat, so it’s ideal for cabinet, countertop, and tile applications
- Ideal for tall wall framing because of its strength and consistency
- Helps reduce shimming, scribing and related call backs
Rim Board
- Ideal for supporting vertical and lateral wall loads
- Eliminates the need for field-ripping and creates flat surfaces for siding installation
- High load capacity reduces the need for squash blocks in most multi-story applications
Stair Stringers
- Won’t split like traditional lumber when notched
- Less prone to tread support breakage
- Reduces likelihood of squeaks
- No knots to cut around
- Reduces the need for scabbing and reinforcement
Truss Chords
- 1.75E is the highest grade LSL in the truss chord industry, making it ideal for tension chord applications
- Available in a variety of lengths to maximize efficiency and wide range of standard depths to match I-Joists or traditional lumber
- End and edge-sealed to minimize swelling
- Consistency and strength make LSL well-suited for custom truss chord needs, such as attic or girder truss applications
