How Is It Made?
The LP® SolidStart® I-Joists manufacturing process combines laminated veneer lumber (LVL) or finger-jointed sawn wood flanges with a web of oriented strand board (OSB) to produce an I-shaped structural member.
The flanges resist bending stresses and deflection, while the web resists sheer. That makes our I-Joists ideal for long spans in floors, ceilings and roof framing.
